Campus Operations Coordinator

Our Sunshine Coast North team are currently looking for a part-time (2days/week) Campus Operations Coordinator to join the team. This role will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and effective functioning of all operational aspects of the campus, including venue management, facilities, risk and compliance, and events. This role plays a vital part in supporting ministry outcomes by creating a safe, well-organised, and welcoming environment for services and events.

Other aspects of this role include:

Campus Operations

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the campus, ensuring all services, programs, and events run efficiently.
  • Manage facilities, logistics, and resources for weekend services, midweek activities, and special events.
  • Facilitate venue safety, security, and first aid, acting as Chief Warden in the event of an emergency.
  • Facilitate operations of the Comma Café during services and events.
  • Manage and update the campus calendar, supply orders, and venue access as required.

Team Development & Leadership

  • Lead, develop, and train the operations, venue safety, hospitality, and events team, fostering a culture of collaboration, clarity, and accountability.
  • Identify, train, and mentor emerging leaders across all operation teams.
  • Foster a positive team culture that values feedback, celebration, and continuous improvement.
  • Equip department leaders to execute ministry initiatives effectively through clear communication, planning, and resource allocation.

Risk, Safety & Compliance

  • Ensure campus operations and events comply with all risk, safety, and Safe Church requirements.
  • Partner with the National Business Manager to ensure ongoing compliance with risk, safety, and organizational policies.
  • Conduct regular evaluations of risk and compliance standards, ensuring accountability across the campus.
  • Oversee implementation of WHS, emergency management, and incident reporting procedures.
  • Maintain all relevant safety documentation and ensure volunteer teams are trained and informed.

Administration

  • Maintain operational documentation, schedules, and reporting as required.
  • Manage procurement, expense tracking, and budget monitoring for operational and event-related costs.
  • Assist with other administrative tasks as directed by the Campus Pastor.

Ideally, the successful candidate will bring:

  • Experience in operations, facilities, events, or administration (church or not-for-profit context preferred)
  • Demonstrated experience leading volunteers or teams
  • Working knowledge of compliance and risk management principles
  • First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
