Hicks Civil and Mining require a Project Supervisor for a 3 month Fixed Term Contract – Immediate Start Available.
The Supervisor is required for the Construction of a Haul Road at a leading Mining Company’s operation within the Pilbara region.
This role is based on a 2:1 FIFO roster from Perth, WA.
Experience in a Civil, Bulk Earthworks or Mining background is essential along with a sound knowledge of earthmoving plant and equipment.
All candidates must possess the right to work in Australia.
A pre-employment medical and police clearance will be required for this role.
Reporting to the Operations Manager, this function’s core responsibilities consist of:
- Supervision of daily operations
- Haul Road Construction
- Surface water drainage construction
- Topsoil stripping including load and haul
- Borrow pit management
- Workshop supporting operations
The Project is through its bulk construction phase and is entering its final stages of construction of a new haul road for the Clients Autonomous Haulage Fleet. The Project is currently in the phase of final trimming for a 4km long haul road. Works still to complete include:
- Final trimming operations
- Batter pulling
- Borrow pit management
- Surface water draining construction
Education and licensing pre-requisites:
- Section 26 Supervisor Accreditation
- RIO Inducted
Experience pre-requisites:
- Ability to Supervise multiple work groups in a mining/operations environment
- Strong approach to safety and uphold an exemplary safety culture.
