Description

Hicks Civil and Mining are always on the look out for new talent to work across our on-going Projects.

These roles are Site Based on either a FIFO (Perth, WA) or DIDO (Pilbara, WA) basis.

Roster – 2:1

Day Shifts Only (12hrs)

All candidates must possess the right to work in Australia.

A pre-employment medical and police clearance will be required for these roles.

Mobile Plant Operator Positions:

  • Dozer Operators
  • Final Trim Grader
  • Final Trim Excavator
  • Grader Operators
  • Excavator Operators
  • Moxy Operators
  • Moxy Water Truck Operators
  • Water Truck Operators
  • Roller Operators
  • Production Loader Operators

Reporting to the Site Supervisor, the function’s core responsibilities consist of:

  • Good communication skills.
  • Demonstrate the basic requirements for site specific material moisture conditioning.
  • Be able to operate a wide range of site specific heavy mobile equipment.
  • Be able to demonstrate the operation of required mobile equipment to line and level.
  • Be able to execute tasks as directed by supervisor with limited supervision.
  • Be able to identify issues with tasks and report to supervisor as required to prevent production delays
  • Be able to achieve within the scope of your capabilities the daily project production targets.

Experience

  • Experience in the mining industry or similar industry is preferable.
  • Previous plant operating experience (Desirable).
  • Understanding and experience of remote operation working procedures (Essential).
  • A basic knowledge of the Mining Industry.
  • Rio Tinto Inductions are desirable

Requirements

  • Valid drivers’ license
  • Un-restricted working rights within Australia
