Description

Hewison Private Wealth is an award-winning, independent financial advice and wealth management firm based in Melbourne. As a purpose-led organisation and a premium brand in our industry, we are dedicated to delivering excellence for our clients.

Position Overview

An exciting opportunity is now available for an experienced Wealth Adviser to join our growing Planning team.

As a Wealth Adviser, you will be responsible for managing and growing a portfolio of clients by delivering tailored, strategic financial advice aligned with their personal goals and objectives. You will play a key role in building long-term client relationships, driving business growth and contributing to the broader success of the firm through collaboration, leadership and mentoring.

This role is suited to a high-performing adviser who is client-centric, commercially minded and passionate about delivering exceptional outcomes. You will thrive in a professional, values-driven environment and take pride in upholding the highest standards of ethical and fiduciary care.

Position Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Financial Planning, Commerce, Economics or a related discipline (FASEA-approved or equivalent).
  • Certified Financial Planner (CFP®) designation.
  • Current registration on the Financial Adviser Register (FAR) and compliance with ASIC and FASEA professional standards.
  • Proven experience providing holistic financial advice to high-net-worth or mass-affluent clients.
  • A demonstrated track record of managing and growing a portfolio of clients through strong relationship management.
  • Deep knowledge of financial planning principles, investment markets, taxation, superannuation and estate planning.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.
  • High ethical standards and a strong sense of fiduciary responsibility.
  • Proficiency in CRM systems and Microsoft Office.
  • A proactive, organised and self-motivated approach with the ability to meet deadlines and revenue targets.
  • A commitment to ongoing learning, professional development and maintaining industry compliance.

The ideal candidate will also have a demonstrable history of maintaining excellent compliance standards — including a clean regulatory record and practical experience embedding compliance best practice into advice processes.
