About the Role:
We are looking for dedicated Support Worker with experience in Mental Health to join our High Physical Support SDA team with a specialization in high-care environments. The ideal candidates will have a genuine passion for assisting individuals with high-care needs and will play a crucial role in providing personalized care to our participants.
Key Responsibilities:
- Providing person-centred support in high physical support SDA settings.
- Assisting with daily living activities such as personal care, meal preparation, medication management, and household tasks.
- Creating a positive and inclusive environment that promotes independence and dignity.
- Collaborating with clients, families, and support professionals to implement personalized support plans.
- Monitoring and reporting on client progress and needs.
Essential Experience and Qualifications:
- Minimum Certificate III in Individual Support, Disability, or related field.
- Experience or a background in mental health.
- Valid Working with Children Check and NDIS Worker Screening Check, or willingness to obtain.
- Experience in Mental Health is essential.
- Passionate about supporting individuals with disabilities in a professional capacity.
To be Successful, You Should Possess:
- Experience in Mental Health
- Experience in SDA environments and with clients requiring high-care support.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to develop meaningful relationships with clients and families.
- Positive and empathetic attitude, adaptable to individual needs.
- Experience in mental health support is desirable.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and evenings.
