We are seeking a reliable and organised Program Officer to support the Service Support Team and broader Services Team in managing referrals, clinical capacity, contracts, and program administration. You will work closely with clinicians, Medical Specialists, General Practitioners, health services, and other stakeholders to ensure HealthWISE programs run smoothly and meet their service deliverables.
About the Role
The purpose of this role is to work collaboratively with HealthWISE staff, health practitioners, health services and other stakeholders to provide an integrated and inclusive approach to primary health care.
You will:
- Liaise with employed and sub-contracted clinicians, General Practitioners and other health professionals to assist in managing referral demand and clinical capacity
- Liaise with Medical Specialists and HealthWISE service staff to meet program deliverables
- Assist with contracts including data and reporting to meet deliverables
- Provide administrative support to HealthWISE service staff
- Support the Team Leader in planning, development, promotion, evaluation and reporting of program services and activities
- Process invoices for contractors and private billing payments, and reconcile payments for fee-for-service work
About You
You are a confident administrator with strong project and data management skills. You have a commitment to quality program administration and the ability to work autonomously and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Essential:
- Demonstrated experience in quality program administration, preferably in primary health care
- Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team
- Strong project and data management skills, with the ability to meet timeframes and manage priorities
- Understanding and respect for Aboriginal communities and culture
- High-level written, oral and interpersonal communication skills
- Experience using patient management systems
- Current unrestricted NSW Driver’s Licence and willingness to travel
Desirable:
- Understanding of Medicare Benefits Schedule (MBS) and NDIS administration
- Understanding of healthcare referral pathways
- Ability to manage contracts and budgets
