About the organisation
He Waka Tapu is a Kaupapa Māori organisation who have been supporting individuals and the community for 30 years. He Waka Tapu works to increase the health and wellbeing of Whānau.
About the role
Mana Ake – Stronger for Tomorrow initiative aims to work with and through school communities to support whānau/families when tamariki/children from years one to eight that are experiencing ongoing challenges that are impacting their wellbeing.
We are looking for an individual who has experience in working in community settings and preferably schools.
This position is a permanent part-time position, 32 hours per week.
Skills and experience
- Level 4 minimum qualification or extensive experience relevant to health, social services, or education.
- Experience in networking and working within the mental health sector, other external providers and can work comfortably within these settings on behalf of their whaiora.
- Experience in child health or social support services.
- Excellent computer and client management system knowledge
- Full drivers’ license.
