Description

About Us:

HBH Group is a Brisbane-based hospitality group operating a diverse portfolio of exciting venues. From neighbourhood favourites to destination hotspots, we create spaces where people come together to eat, drink, celebrate, and connect.

Our businesses are united by a shared commitment to quality, consistency, and genuine hospitality. At HBH Group, we invest in our people as much as we invest in our venues. We foster a culture of respect, accountability, and continuous improvement supporting our teams with clear systems and opportunities for growth.

Role Overview:

We are seeking a Hospitality Front of House Allrounder to join our team across our dynamic portfolio of venues, including retail bottle shops, a brewery taproom, a wine bar, and a café.

This is a hands-on, customer-facing role where you will work across multiple sites (within close proximity), with each venue offering a different style of service and customer experience. No two days are the same — you’ll move between retail, bar service, and café hospitality, adapting your approach to suit each environment.

You’ll be part of a team that values high energy, strong product knowledge, and consistently exceptional customer experiences across all venues.

We’re looking for someone who is confident, engaging, and genuinely passionate about hospitality, with a natural ability to connect with customers and deliver outstanding service wherever they are working on any given day.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver exceptional customer service across multiple venues, including retail bottle shops, brewery taproom, wine bar, and café environments
  • Adapt seamlessly between retail, bar, and café service styles depending on the venue
  • Provide knowledgeable product recommendations across beer, wine, and spirits
  • Process sales accurately using point-of-sale systems across retail and hospitality settings
  • Support bar service including pouring drinks, basic preparation, and maintaining service standards
  • Maintain a clean, organised, and well-presented workspace at all times across all venues
  • Assist with stock handling, replenishment, rotation, and merchandising
  • Actively engage in upselling and suggestive selling to enhance customer experience and drive sales
  • Ensure responsible service of alcohol (RSA) compliance at all times
  • Work collaboratively with teams across all venues, supporting smooth daily operations
  • Assist with opening and closing procedures as required at different locations
  • Contribute to creating a welcoming, high-energy atmosphere for customers across all sites

Skills & Qualifications Required:

  • Current Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA)
  • Previous experience in hospitality, retail bottle shop, FOH service, café, or bar environments
  • Strong customer service skills with a genuine focus on creating positive customer experiences
  • Ability to confidently work across multiple venues and service styles
  • Excellent communication skills with a friendly, outgoing, and professional manner
  • Well-presented, energetic, and approachable personality
  • Ability to multitask and remain calm in busy, fast-paced environments
  • Basic experience with POS systems and cash handling
  • Reliable, punctual, and adaptable with a strong work ethic
  • Team-focused attitude with willingness to support across different venues as needed

What we offer:

We value our team and offer a range of benefits to support your professional growth and wellbeing:

  • Competitive salary based on experience
  • A fun, supportive, and passionate team environment
  • Staff discounts and perks across our hospitality, liquor, and childcare businesses
  • Daily food and coffee benefits
  • Discounted gym membership
  • Ongoing training and professional development opportunities
  • Employee Assistance Program (EAP)
  • The opportunity to be part of a growing and innovative group of businesses

Pre-Employment Requirements:

Before commencing employment, successful applicants will need to provide:

  • Verification of identity
  • Right to work documentation
  • References
  • Proof of highest level of education
  • Consent for us to conduct background checks
