THE ROLE

Due to continual growth within the business, we are looking for a Lubrication Technician – Service Truck to join the Hallett Maintenance team on a permanent basis. This hands-on role will primarily be responsible for scheduled servicing and minor maintenance of equipment across the Hallett Group of Companies. This is an opportunity to work with a high performing team in a proud SA owned and operated business dedicated to the safety of its employees.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Maintain our fleet brand including Volvo, Liebherr, John Deere, Hitachi, CAT, Komatsu + more
  • Assist tradespersons when required.
  • Build constructive working relationships with other Hallett Group department personnel
  • Ensure the service truck is stocked with correct levels of oil/grease/fuel.

QUALIFICATIONS | EXPERIENCE | SKILLS:

  • Strong safety focus, assessing risk and putting appropriate controls in place.
  • Mechanically minded and able to carry out minor repairs.
  • Have experience in a similar role working on lubrication and hydraulic systems.
  • A current and valid manual HR driver’s license.
  • Current white card
  • Physically fit, must be able to pass a pre-employment medical and drug and alcohol testing.
  • Light vehicle mechanic or mechanically minded person performing a similar role.
  • Experience servicing heavy plant & equipment and on Highway trucks/trailers.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to work without direct supervision.
  • Demonstrate working knowledge of power tools, hand tools, lubrication types, sampling, storage, filtration, and dispensing.
