THE ROLE
Since 1978, Hallett Concrete has steadily grown to become a leading concrete supplier within the South Australian market. We supply to the domestic, commercial and industrial markets and specialise in supply to the technically demanding pre-cast market, for which South Australia is highly regarded.
We are looking for a reliable, hands on FEL Operator at our Dry Creek plant who will take pride in their work and like being part of a team who make things happen. Experience will be highly regarded but not essential. We are a 6 day a week business with early starts and lots of overtime available.
• Ensure safety, health and environment standards at the plant are maintained
• Operate FEL and assist with maintaining high housekeeping standards around the plant
• Perform daily maintenance and safety checks of plant
• Daily operation of the FEL including prestart checks
• Report maintenance issues, hazards and safety issues
• Take the lead in setting high housekeeping standards around the plants
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILTIES
• Ensure safety, health and environment standards are maintained.
• Heavy labour work including shovelling, and hosing down the yard
• Concrete Plant batching – if your interested we will train you.
• Daily operation of loader in our plants – we will VOC you on this!
• Forklift duties – we will VOC you on this!
• Perform daily maintenance and safety checks of equipment;
• Understand and follow directions from supervisors as to required work area
• Quality of product checks (checking stockpiles/deliveries for contamination)
QUALIFICATIONS | EXPERIENCE | CAPABILITIES
• Loader ticket (preferred but we will get you this if you need!)
• Manual labour experience, or fit healthy and happy to get your hands dirty
• Mechanically minded (preferred but not essential as we will train you)
• Competent computer skills
• Attention to detail demonstrated in work history
• 6 day a week availability
• A good work ethic and ability to work in a team
