We are currently seeking experienced and reliable Road Train Drivers within our Transport Division, to join our operations based in Pinelands. This is an excellent opportunity for a professional and experienced driver who takes pride in safety and efficiency and is confident in operation semi-trailers, double and triple road trains.
About the Role
You will be responsible for operating road trains that cart materials between our Quarry in Mount Bundey and our yards in Pinelands and Winnellie, as well as to our clients’ yards, using side tippers. The role requires a high level of skill, attention to detail and the ability to work independently.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate multi-combination road trains in a safe and efficient manner
- Load, haul and tip materials using side tippers
- Conduct daily pre-starts and basic vehicle maintenance checks
- Ensure compliance with all road transport laws and safety regulations
- Complete required paperwork accurately
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and site personnel
What We Are Looking For
- Current and valid NT MC Drivers Licence
- Proven experience operating road trains
- Demonstrated side tipper experience
- Ability to obtain a police clearance for the purposes of a DCAC
- Strong understanding of fatigue management and NHVR regulations
- Good mechanical awareness and problem-solving skills
- Reliable, punctual and safety focused attitude
