Summary:

The Baker is responsible for preparing a variety of baked goods for customers in the hospitality and tourism industry. They must follow recipes, mix and prepare ingredients, and ensure that all baked goods are of high quality and served fresh and timely.

Responsibilities:

Plan and prepare a variety of baked goods

Mix, measure, and prepare ingredients according to recipes

Use various baking techniques to create a wide range of bakery products

Ensure that all baked goods are prepared on time and to the required quality standards

Operate ovens, mixers, and other bakery equipment in a safe and efficient manner

Monitor and adjust oven temperatures, baking times, and other factors as required

Decorate baked goods using various techniques

Maintain an inventory of ingredients and ensure that all supplies are stocked

Ensure that all baked goods are stored appropriately and maintain food hygiene standards

Follow all health and safety guidelines and regulations as required
