The Business Development & Partner Integration Specialist is a key member of our team at DistroDirect. They work closely with a team of scouts and A&R in identifying potential new partners from any part of the wide web of musical genres, cultures and sub-cultures, new-age and traditional music businesses and startups to collectives.

A successful candidate will combine relationship management and commercial acumen with a strong technical understanding of digital music distribution. They will confidently lead product demonstrations, discuss platform capabilities and partner workflows, and articulate key offerings across distribution, YouTube MCN, music publishing, and marketing services.

Key Responsibilities

Lead Qualification & Sales Pipeline

  • Working closely with music businesses to understand their needs in music distribution and how we may help them. Assess inbound and referred leads, conduct discovery calls and platform demonstrations and manage the full sales process — from initial contact through to agreement signature and onboarding initiation.

Partner Onboarding & Integration

  • Serve as the primary contact during the onboarding phase, ensuring partners are technically and operationally ready to launch.

A&R Management

  • Lead and mentor A&R scouts responsible for sourcing and referring interesting potential partners.
  • Source and recruit new scouts to support business strategies.

Skills & Qualifications

  • 2–4 years’ experience in music distribution, digital rights management, or business development within the music or media industry.
  • Strong understanding of music distribution systems, DSP operations, YouTube MCN, music publishing, and related digital infrastructure.
  • Proven ability to manage a sales pipeline from qualification to close.
  • Confident communicator and presenter, capable of conducting technical product demonstrations.
  • Highly organised, self-motivated, and capable of managing multiple concurrent deals and relationships.
  • Proficient in CRM (HubSpot, Monday.com, or similar) and Google Workspace.
  • Ability to interpret partner data and use it to inform business decisions.
  • Passion for independent music, partner success, and digital innovation.

Remuneration

Negotiable based on experience.
