We are looking for a strategic and hands-on IT Operations Manager to join our team, shape our technology environment, and help us continue to build our future.
The Role
Reporting directly to the Head of Operations & People, you will take full ownership of GVG’s technology landscape. Your mission is to remove friction from the business by ensuring our systems, services, and communication platforms are reliable, secure, and perfectly aligned with how we operate and grow.
You won’t just keep the lights on; you will establish an IT roadmap that improves performance, reduces cost and risk, and supports long-term operational capability. You will also lead our internal IT resources, including an IT Operations & Support Coordinator, while managing relationships with external providers.

Key Responsibilities
- Drive IT Strategy by developing and maintaining an IT strategy that translates business needs into practical technology solutions, leveraging automation and AI to improve efficiency
- Lead day-to-day IT service delivery, managing core infrastructure, cloud platforms, networks, and business systems across all locations
- Elevate Cybersecurity by taking ownership of GVG’s cybersecurity posture by establishing robust security controls, managing risk, leading incident response, and implementing AI governance
- Manage Vendors & Budgets
- Leadership – by building a high-performance, accountable team culture by coaching, training, and setting clear directions for the IT team
- Champion Continuous Improvement – by leading the end-to-end delivery of IT projects, driving the consolidation and optimisation of systems.

What You Bring
- Proven experience leading IT service delivery across internal teams and external providers, with a track record of structuring IT environments and governance
- Strong technical understanding of IT infrastructure, cloud platforms, networks, and business systems
- Sound knowledge of cybersecurity, risk management, and security control implementation
- Commercial awareness with solid experience managing IT vendors, contracts, and budgets
- Strong problem-solving skills, adaptability, and the ability to remain calm and decisive under pressure
- Exceptional stakeholder management abilities to influence and engage across all levels of the business
