An exciting time to join Gunn Agri Partners in a key irrigation leadership role supporting a newly established platform!

Gunn Agri Partners was established in 2013 and provides agricultural investment and farm management services for Australian, North American and European investors.

Gunn Agri Partners manages over $1.2bn of assets and commitments managed across five investment platforms. Gunn Agri manages agriculture assets Australia wide in mixed farming, grains, grass fed protein, tree nuts, stone fruit and natural capital.

Following the establishment of a new platform and operating company investing in high-value horticultural production, land redevelopment and an actively managed water portfolio, we are seeking 2 experienced Irrigation Managers to oversee irrigation operations near Griffith and play a key role in delivering efficient, compliant and high-performing water outcomes.

The Opportunity

Reporting to the Aggregation Manager, this role is central to water performance, system optimisation and regulatory compliance – delivering reliable outcomes aligned with production and asset objectives.

The role combines hands-on operational leadership with technical system oversight, requiring strong capability in irrigation scheduling, pump operation, automated systems and data-driven decision making.

Key Focus Areas

• Lead day-to-day irrigation operations to meet production and water efficiency targets

• Operate, maintain and improve irrigation systems within licence and water restrictions

• Optimise water use to support yield, quality and sustainability outcomes

• Develop and deliver irrigation strategies, including seasonal scheduling and long-term efficiency goals

• Lead, train and develop the irrigation team, building a safe and high-performing culture

• Champion WHS, environmental compliance and quality assurance requirements

• Maintain accurate records for irrigation activities, water allocations and reporting

• Oversee maintenance and performance of pumps, pipes, valves and irrigation infrastructure

• Engage with water authorities, suppliers and technical specialists as required

• Drive continuous improvement through innovation, data analysis and process refinement

About You

You are an experienced irrigation professional with:

• Background as an Irrigation Manager, Overseer or Senior Operator on large-scale irrigated farms

• Strong practical knowledge of irrigation systems, scheduling and water management

• Confidence working with automated irrigation systems and farm management technology

• Proven ability to lead and develop teams in a hands-on environment

• Strong computer literacy and data interpretation skills

• A collaborative, team-oriented leadership style

Preferred system experience includes:

AgWorld, SafeAg (or similar), John Deere GreenStar GPS, moisture monitoring probes.

Tertiary qualifications in Agriculture, Agronomy, Crop Science or Farm Management are desirable but not essential.
