About the Role

 

Reporting to the CEO, the focus of the new position of General Manager Strategic Partnerships is to grow the organisation’s impact, reach and sustainability through strategic partnerships and the delivery of key growth initiatives for Guide Dogs Victoria. This is a key leadership role aimed at building financial sustainability to increase our impact.

 

About You

  • Experience: Proven experience in a senior business development or corporate/government partnerships role, ideally with experience in the NFP or profit-for-purpose sector.
  • Strategic Thinker: Demonstrated ability to build pipelines and turn strategic opportunities into revenue.
  • Negotiation Skills: Strong negotiation skills with a track record of securing multi-year, high-value agreements.
  • Passion for Purpose: A deep alignment with Guide Dogs Victoria’s mission and values.
  • Leadership: Experience leading teams to achieve financial targets.

 

Key Skills & Experience you will bring:

  • Proven success in leading partnerships or strategic account management in a large not-for-profit or complex alliance structure (minimum five years).
  • Strong track record in new business acquisition, pipeline development, and revenue growth.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and grow multi-million-dollar partnership portfolios.
  • Strong commercial acumen with experience in budgeting, forecasting, and financial performance management.
  • Ability to balance strategic leadership with hands-on execution.
  • Lived experience of disability is highly valued
  • Tertiary qualifications in marketing, business, communications, MBA will be highly regarded
