The Opportunity
We are in an exciting growth phase in our business, with a renewed focus on building and investing behind Australia’s favourite chilled juice brands.
As a result, we are seeking an experienced Quality Administrator to join our close-knit, dynamic team at our Leeton site.
The successful candidate will be responsible for completing routine requirements of the site’s food safety program and drive actions for continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Co-ordinate the day to day operations in the laboratory including: physical/chemical/microbial testing, recording & reporting of raw materials, in-process product, finish product and environmental monitoring, daily maintenance/calibration and service of instruments
- Report on Quality Lead Indicators at T1 Meetings
- Perform internal audits and site GMP and Hygiene inspections
- Identify and report trend data for non-conformance investigations
- Maintain and drive improvements in Good Laboratory Practices
- Maintain and develop cost effective and sustainable operations through continuous improvement initiatives
- Maintain pre-requisite activities as required by HACCP
- Provide technical support to manufacturing and other departments on site.
- Assist in new product development
- Handle customer requests for technical information (eg. accreditation documentation, specifications, export compliance documentation, etc.).
- Conduct annual mock recall with Grove recall / withdrawal team.
- Conduct annual Business Continuity Plan test with the Business Continuity Team.
- Review training records with Department Managers.
Essential Criteria
- Strong attention to detail and demonstrated ability to problem solve
- Adept laboratory practices – Emphasis on high proficiency and accuracy
- Strong time management and prioritisation skills
- Ability to engage with all levels of the business, from leadership to operators
- A proactive nature and willingness to take on responsibilities and ownership of tasks
- Strong action orientation to deliver accurate outcomes to tight timelines
- Strong communication skills and customer service focus
- Intermediate level skills in the Microsoft Office Package including Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint
- Previous Exposure to HACCP / GMP / Good Laboratory Practices
- Experience with laboratory operations in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience in the area of microbiological testing
- Diploma or equivalent in Food Science or related field desired but not essential.
