Trade Assistant

Griffin Marine is a leading marine service provider, specialising in multi-disciplinary industrial services and project management. We work with a diverse range of clients, including prime defence contractors and commercial shipping companies. We are seeking motivated and reliable Trade Assistants to join our growing Sydney team. This role will initially be casual, with the opportunity to transition into full-time employment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist tradespeople with maintenance, repairs and installations.
• Follow safety guidelines and ensure compliance with PPE requirements in an industrial environment.
• Collaborate effectively with team members to achieve project goals.
• Utilise hand and power tools under supervision.
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of work areas.
• Adhere to project schedules and meet deadlines.
• Attend training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge.

Skills and Experience:

• Strong work ethic and availability to work 38+ hours per week.
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
• Previous experience using hand or power tools (desirable).
• Required certifications/tickets: Confined Space, Working at Heights, EWP, Forklift and Fire Sentry.
• OHS Construction Induction – White Card (required).
• Valid driver’s license (required).
• Ability to obtain and hold a National Police Clearance and Defence Common Access Card (DCAC).
