About the role

We are seeking an experienced, strategic and commercially minded Head of Marketing to lead the marketing function at Greyhound Racing NSW.

As head of Marketing, you’ll shape how our GRNSW and Greyhounds as Pets (GAP) brands are seen and experienced. Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, this senior leadership role is responsible for developing and delivering marketing strategies that enhance brand profile, grow audiences and drive revenue. From major racing campaigns to powerful rehoming stories, you’ll lead a passionate team, work with diverse partners, and have the freedom to innovate and make a real impact.

Key Accountabilities

  • Lead and deliver multi-brand marketing strategies and campaigns that grow audiences, strengthen brand profile and drive revenue across GRNSW and its portfolio.
  • Build and manage strategic relationships with media, agencies and stakeholders to support industry integrity, sustainability and welfare outcomes.
  • Drive data-led audience growth, including target market identification, segmentation, lifecycle management and performance reporting to maximise ROI.
  • Lead, motivate and empower a high-performing marketing team, fostering innovation and strong alignment with organisational vision and values.
  • Ensure brand integrity, governance and compliance, with a strong focus on financial discipline, risk management and regulatory obligations.

About You:

  • Have a tertiary qualification in marketing or a related field, with 10+ years’ senior marketing experience and a proven track record of success.
  • Background in racing, sport, entertainment or a similar industry, with a curious, commercially minded approach.
  • Strong stakeholder influence and leadership skills, with the ability to navigate complex and diverse perspectives.
  • Highly analytical and data-driven, with experience using insights to drive strategy, segmentation and ROI.
  • Proven experience managing multiple brands, delivering high-quality written content and tailored marketing approaches.
