Qualifications & experience
- Experience working on industrial machinery in a food services manufacturing environment is essential.
- Current Electrical trade qualification is essential, and a dual trade in Electronics/Mechanics or Air conditioning will be favored.
- Current Electrical A-Grade licence is essential.
- Knowledge and understanding of high speed, high risk, food production and quality expectations is essential.
Tasks & responsibilities
- Based in the Neerabup factory, this permanent full-time role is focused on preventative maintenance and ongoing repair and troubleshooting to maintain safety and maximize production.
- Reporting directly to the Operations Manager, you will lead a small team of maintenance/yardmen, while rolling your sleeves up on the tools as the onsite electrical fitter.
- You will be responsible for sourcing and implementing the maintenance/repairs management system and seek ongoing ways to improve the standards and lead times of machinery repairs and commissioning.
- Knowledge and extensive experience working on food manufacturing machinery is essential. Including, but not limited to; industrial ovens, flow wrapping and bagging lines, cutting machines… and future state robotics.
- In this role you will complete the commissioning of new machinery, assist in the building of factory extension, and the introduction of new innovations and robotics into our factory operations.
- Your sleeves are rolled up in this position as you complete all maintenance, repairs and analysis of all factory equipment and machinery.
