Pharmacy Assistant

Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated Pharmacy Assistant to join our retail team in Brisbane, Queensland. This temporary, casual role is ideal for individuals looking to gain entry-level experience in the pharmacy sector. The Pharmacy Assistant will play a crucial role in supporting the daily operations of the pharmacy, ensuring that customers receive excellent service and that the pharmacy runs smoothly.

Responsibilities:

• Assist customers with their enquiries and provide information about products and services
• Support pharmacists in dispensing medications and managing inventory
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the pharmacy environment
• Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently
• Handle stock management, including receiving and shelving deliveries
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
• Participate in training and development activities as required

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Previous experience in a retail or customer service role is preferred but not essential
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively in a team and independently
• Basic numeracy and literacy skills
• A keen interest in healthcare and pharmacy practices
• Completion of a Certificate III in Community Pharmacy (or equivalent qualification) is highly desirable.
