About the role

We are currently seeking a collaborative and dedicated Chief Exam Supervisor:

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct and oversee the administration of VCE external examinations
  • Attend VCAA professional development workshops and training related to the Chief Exam Supervisor role
  • Liaise with the Head of Learning, the VCE Coordinator, VCAA officials, the VASS administrators, College administration staff, and additional examination supervisors to ensure seamless exam operations.
  • Ensure all VCE external examinations are conducted in strict accordance with VCAA requirements
  • Lead, brief, and coordinate a team of examination supervisors during internal practice examinations and VCE external examinations.
  • Manage examination logistics, including venue setup, materials, and timing and examination security, including storage and archiving of examination and examination materials, in alignment with VCAA requirements
  • Support students with approved Special Examination Arrangements
  • Handle incidents, irregularities or student queries during examinations in a calm and professional manner and in alignment with VCAA requirements
  • Maintain accurate records and complete required reporting following examination sessions.
  • Ensure compliance with College and VCAA privacy, confidentiality and academic integrity standards and requirements

Knowledge and Skills

  • Demonstrated understanding of VCAA policies and procedures for conducting VCE examinations
  • Proven experience in leading and coordinating a team in and education enviornment.
  • Strong organizational and administrative skills with high attention to detail
  • Meet VCAA eligibility requirements
  • Previous experience as a Chief or Additional Examination Supervisor is highly desirable.

Essential

  • Current VIT or WWC and National Police Check
  • Level 2 First Aid & CPR
  • Availability during key VCAA assessment periods

As an Exam Supervisor, I am not:

  • Related to, or associated with, any student required to sit the GAT or any student undertaking a VCE Unit 3 or 4 study in 2026.
  • Teaching or tutoring any student required to sit the GAT or any student in a VCE Unit 3 or 4 study in 2026
  • Related to or associated with any person engaged in teaching, tutoring or coaching any students required to sit the GAT, or any students undertaking a VCE Unit 3 or 4 study in 2026, or any school personnel engaged in organizing or checking VCE external assessment materials at any school
  • Employed at the school in any other capacity including as a teacher, casual relief teacher(CRT) or member of the administration staff.
