Technigro is looking for an experienced Workshop Mechanic
to join our team based in Yatala.
This is a hands-on role where you’ll be responsible for
servicing, maintaining, and repairing the equipment that keeps our operations
running smoothly. From handheld horticultural equipment through to commercial
mowing machinery, tractors, and trailers, you’ll play an essential role in
minimising downtime and ensuring our fleet is operating safely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities
As our Workshop Mechanic, you will:
- Service,
maintain, and repair handheld horticultural equipment
- Maintain
commercial mowing equipment, tractors, trailers, and specialised turf
machinery
- Diagnose
and repair faults across mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and fuel
systems
- Perform
preventative maintenance to maximise equipment reliability and minimise
downtime
- Complete
equipment rebuilds, component replacements, and scheduled servicing
- Carry
out mobile servicing and breakdown repairs when required
- Undertake
basic welding and fabrication repairs
- Source
and purchase parts and consumables through approved suppliers
- Maintain
accurate service records and ensure workshop housekeeping meets safety
standards
About You
You’re a trade-qualified mechanic with a practical,
solutions-focused approach and a passion for keeping equipment operating at its
best.
You’ll bring:
- Trade
qualification as a Mechanic or equivalent
- Recent
experience servicing and repairing landscaping, horticultural,
agricultural, or similar equipment
- Strong
diagnostic and fault-finding skills across mechanical, hydraulic, fuel,
and electrical systems
- Experience
maintaining:
- Handheld
equipment including whipper snippers, chainsaws, blowers, and hedge
trimmers
- Commercial
mowing equipment including ride-on, rotary, and cylinder mowers
- Tractors,
trailers, and associated implements such as aerators and top dressers
- Diesel
engine experience (highly regarded)
- Basic
welding and fabrication skills (desirable)
- Strong
organisational skills with the ability to manage workshop priorities and
parts inventory
- A
current Australian driver’s licence, with confidence towing and
manoeuvring trailers
- A
commitment to maintaining a safe, clean, and organised workshop
