QLD State Manager Maintenance

Lead, grow, and deliver excellence across Queensland with a national industry leader.

A leading national provider of integrated landscaping services is seeking an experienced and driven State Manager Maintenance to oversee operations across Queensland. The business delivers high-quality landscape construction, maintenance, and open space management solutions across commercial and government sectors.

This is a senior leadership role responsible for driving operational performance, leading high-performing teams, and supporting continued business growth within the region.

About the Role

Reporting to senior leadership, you will be responsible for the overall operational and commercial performance of the Queensland business. Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing strong leadership across multiple teams and sites, fostering a high-performance culture
  • Leading and developing Operations Managers, Supervisors, and site teams
  • Ensuring projects and maintenance contracts are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to high quality standards
  • Overseeing financial performance, including forecasting, budgeting, cost control, and reporting
  • Managing contract compliance, invoicing, and operational reporting
  • Driving continuous improvement initiatives across operations
  • Supporting business development activities, including identifying opportunities and maintaining client relationships
  • Ensuring compliance with WHS, environmental, and quality standards

About You

To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a senior operations, contracts, or state management role within landscaping, construction, or a related industry
  • Strong commercial and financial acumen, with experience managing budgets and performance
  • Solid understanding of landscape construction and/or maintenance operations
  • Proven leadership experience, with the ability to build and develop high-performing teams
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • A proactive, solutions-focused approach with the ability to manage competing priorities
  • Strong organisational and planning skills
