Men's Support Team Leader

QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE

Required

ñ Appropriate and valid evidence of Aboriginal and or Torres Strait Islander descent, and that you identify as

Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander

ñ Previous experience/qualifications in a leadership role

ñ C Class Drivers License

ñ Sound computer skills (MS Office)

ñ Excellent Communication Skills, and ability to facilitate workplace motivation/coaching with the team

ñ Willingness to undertake regular motor vehicle travel to Cairns and surrounds

ñ Sober Habits/No Drug Use

Desirable:

ñ Current Senior First Aid Certificate or up to date CPR Certificate or ability to obtain one

ñ Positive notice BlueCard

SELECTION CRITERIA

ñ A general knowledge and understanding of how alcohol and substance misuse issues affect Aboriginal and

Torres Strait Islander people in a community setting.

ñ Demonstrated experience in providing case management services to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander

people

ñ Highly developed written and verbal communication skills (including listening, negotiation, conflict

resolution/mediation and report writing) with a demonstrated ability to communicate effectively across a

range of stakeholders

ñ Previous experience in a leadership role

ñ Demonstrated competence in standard computer programs (Word, Email, Browsers etc)
