About the role We are seeking a Broker Assistant to join our team at GI Insurance Brokers Pty Ltd in Legana, Tasmania. This is a full-time position that will provide essential support to our experienced insurance brokers, helping to ensure our clients receive the highest level of service and advice.

What you’ll be doing

  • Assisting brokers with the placement and management of insurance policies for clients
  • Providing administrative support, including preparing documentation, arranging meetings, and following up on client queries
  • Conducting market research and analysis to help brokers identify suitable insurance products for clients
  • Maintaining accurate records and ensuring compliance with industry regulations
  • Providing excellent customer service to both internal and external stakeholders
  • Participating in team meetings and contributing to the continuous improvement of our processes and procedures

What we’re looking for

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain positive relationships with clients and colleagues
  • Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work accurately under pressure
  • Proficient in the use of insurance software and Microsoft Office applications
  • Previous experience in a customer service or administrative role, preferably within the insurance industry
  • A keen interest in the insurance industry and a commitment to providing high-quality service
  • A tier 1 qualification in insurance broking.
