About the Role
Gelatissimo continues to experience significant growth, with new stores opening across Australia and internationally. To support this expansion, we are looking for an experienced Field Training Specialist to join our Operations team support in delivering successful new store launches across our network. This position will start as a 12 month contract with a view to go permanent.
This is a hands-on role, focused on coaching and developing new franchise partners and store teams. You will play a key role from day one with New Store Training Programs, preopening preparation, launch execution, and early trading support, ensuring every new store opens with confidence and delivers a consistently exceptional Gelatissimo guest experience.
The position requires some travel and is well suited to someone who thrives in the fast pace of new store openings, while also valuing time at our Rydalmere Head Office contributing to the development and refinement of training materials.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver operational training and onboarding for all new stores.
- Coach franchise partners and store teams across all areas of store operations
- Support preopening preparation, launch week, and early trading periods.
- Provide on the job training aligned with Gelatissimo’s quality, food safety, and customer experience standards
- Conduct refresher training sessions to address capability gaps and strengthen team confidence and performance
- Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of training materials and tools
- Champion consistent operational standards and foster a positive team culture across the network
About You
You are a people focused trainer with strong hospitality operations experience. You enjoy being in stores, working closely with teams, and supporting new franchise partners to succeed from their very first day.
You are adaptable, organised, confident working across multiple sites, and comfortable with regular travel.
Skills & Experience
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in cafés, gelaterias, restaurants, or multisite food retail
- Proven experience training, coaching, and/or supporting teams across multiple locations
- Valid Food Safety Supervisor Certificate
- Cert IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40122)
- Strong knowledge of food safety, operational standards, and WHS requirements
- Excellent communication skills with a practical, hands-on coaching style
- Strong coffee knowledge and barista skills (essential)
- Practical gelato making skills (advantageous)
