Gadd Group is a leader in hardscape landscaping and nature play construction, delivering high quality playscapes and outdoor environments primarily in childcare centres across Australia.
We are growing fast and are now looking for an experienced Landscape Construction Leading Hand to join our local team.
This role is ideal for experienced hardscape landscapers, landscape construction tradespeople, carpenters or skilled trades who enjoy in assisting guiding a crew on site while remaining hands on with the tools.
About the Role:
As a Landscape Construction Leading Hand, you will support the Supervisor in delivering high quality childcare playscape projects. You will assist in leading a small crew on site, help coordinate daily tasks and ensure work is completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard.
This is a hands on leadership role you will be building alongside your team while helping drive productivity and quality outcomes.
What You Will Be Doing:
- Assisting in Leading and motivating on site crew members
- Assembling nature play structures
- Installing modular playground equipment
- Excavation, base preparation, footings, drainage and concrete works
- Laying decking, paving and other hardscape elements
- Setting out works using laser levels and reading plans
- Planting, mulching and installing irrigation systems
- Assisting with coordination of materials and site logistics
- Maintaining site safety and compliance
- Ensuring tools, equipment and materials are organised and maintained
- Troubleshooting and problem solving on site
What We Are Looking For:
- Proven experience in landscape construction, hardscape landscaping, carpentry or related trade
- Strong practical skills and attention to detail
- Ability to read and interpret plans
- Confident communicator who leads by example
- Strong commitment to safety and quality workmanship
- Reliable, organised and able to keep projects moving

- Blue Card / Working with Children (Essential)
- White Card (Required)
- Additional trade or construction licences (highly regarded)
