WMS Consultant – Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide
As a WMS Consultant at FourPL, you will play a key role in delivering practical, hands‑on support to our customers across consulting, project delivery and systems activities. You’ll work across a variety of engagements—from guiding customers through design and governance to supporting detailed implementation. With exposure to leading WMS platforms including SAP EWM, Softeon and Blue Yonder, this role offers opportunities to broaden your skills and grow your expertise across multiple technologies.
About You
You are a self‑motivated and analytical WMS professional with a strong track record in supply chain consulting. You thrive in a fast‑paced logistics environment, work well in a team, and bring practical, hands‑on experience from working directly with WMS practitioners. You can confidently design, configure and implement WMS solutions while managing multiple priorities.
You have 2+ years’ experience with Softeon or Blue Yonder WMS, excellent communication skills, and the ability to explain technical concepts to non‑technical stakeholders. You demonstrate strong issue‑resolution and problem‑solving capability, proven accountability and ownership, and strong presentation skills. You work effectively with executives and operational teams, showing sound judgement and autonomy.
Required Skills & Experience
- Strong configuration experience with Softeon or Blue Yonder WMS/LMS.
- Exposure to other WMS/LMS platforms (e.g., Manhattan, HighJump).
- Ability to translate business requirements into practical, solution designs.
- Sound judgement with a pragmatic approach to solution delivery.
- Experience researching, analysing and evaluating WMS needs.
- Strong task‑prioritisation skills and ability to manage competing deadlines.
- Proficient in writing documentation, technical specifications and operational procedures.
- Ability to contribute to proposals and implementation strategies.
- Strong communication and leadership capability.
- Experience with BY Integrator or Softeon Elastic Communicator (JSON/REST/API).
- RF configuration experience for BY or Softeon WMS.
Desirable Skills
- Experience with SQL‑based databases (MySQL, Oracle, PostgreSQL).
- Strong problem‑solving and debugging skills.
- Experience with modern front‑end frameworks (React, Angular, Vue).
- Working knowledge of Docker/Kubernetes.
- Understanding of performance tuning and application security.
- Programming experience (SQL, Java, C, Visual Studio, Spring Boot, REST APIs, MOCA).
- Ability to identify system/process gaps and recommend improvements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent; supply‑chain‑related study highly regarded.
- Strong academic background.
