Summary:
We’re seeking a skilled Project Manager to deliver technology projects across Sydney, Brisbane, or Melbourne, working hands‑on with customers and shifting between consulting, project management, and systems work to ensure on‑time, on‑budget outcomes while building strong stakeholder relationships and aligning projects with strategic goals.
The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in overseeing and delivering technology projects that align with our business objectives. This position is essential for ensuring that projects are completed on time, within scope, and within budget, while also fostering collaboration among cross-functional teams.
At FourPL, we believe in taking a “hands-on” and pragmatic approach to supporting customers through their journey. Engagements vary in depth where in some cases we try to utilize the customer resources and do more direction and governance, whilst in others we do more implementation work for the customer.
The primary purpose of the role is to manage and coordinate all aspects of projects from start to completion. The Project Manager will be responsible for partnering with the internal stakeholders to formulate work plans and ensure that work is delivered on strategy, on time and on budget. The Project Manager will play a major role in developing and shaping projects as well as managing and building long-term relationships and understanding the “big picture”.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure that all projects are delivered on time, within scope and within budget
- Assist in the definition of project scope and objectives, involving all relevant internal stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility
- Ensure resource availability and allocation
- Develop a detailed project plan to monitor and track progress
- Manage changes to the project scope, project schedule, and project costs using appropriate verification techniques
- Measure performance using appropriate project management tools and techniques
- Report and escalate to management as needed
- Manage the relationship with the client and relevant stakeholders
- Perform risk management to minimize potential risks
- Establish and maintain relationships with third parties/vendors
- Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation
- Meet with clients to take detailed ordering briefs and clarify specific requirements of each project
- Delegate project tasks based on junior staff members’ individual strengths, skill sets, and experience levels
- Track project performance, specifically to analyze the successful completion of short and long-term goals
- Meet budgetary objectives and adjust project constraints based on financial analysis
- Promote the company through the participation in presales stage with potential clients ensuring that they are aware of our services
- Act as an account manager to ensure that any solution being developed is in line with customer expectations and that the customer is satisfied with FourPL service levels to ensure that every customer is a reference site, willing to promote our services and give us more work
- Build and maintain relationships with customers to understand their business well enough to proactively develop further business opportunities
- Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of multiple projects
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 3 years proven consultancy experience
- Experience in facilitation and the ability to work in different lines of businesses as required
- Knowledge of Supply Chain, Logistics or Spend Management – required
- Experience in the supply-chain industry and understanding of best practices – required
Desirable Skills:
- Experience with TMS and/or WMS
- Knowledge in and experience with our partners systems
- Appropriate tertiary qualifications or experience in Information Technology or related field
- Accreditation in either Coupa, SAP, SAP Ariba, FarEye & BlueYonder
- IIBA PMBOK Accreditation
