About the Role
We are seeking enthusiastic and reliable Match Day Gate Staff to join our team at Mackay Football Park. This role is vital to delivering a safe, welcoming and seamless experience for all patrons attending match days.
As the first point of contact for visitors, you will help create a positive atmosphere while ensuring efficient entry and exit processes. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment and enjoy working with the community, we’d love to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage entry and exit points, ensuring safe and efficient access for patrons
- Process entry payments using EFTPOS and handle cash transactions accurately
- Sight and verify digital passes via the Squadi application, resolving any discrepancies
- Conduct basic security checks in line with venue procedures
- Manage pass-outs and re-entry processes
- Provide clear information and assistance to patrons, responding to questions professionally
- Communicate effectively with match day staff via two-way radio, including security and event management teams
- Assist with crowd control and emergency response procedures when required
- Deliver exceptional customer service at all times
What We’re Looking For
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to remain calm and professional in a busy, fast-paced environment
- Experience using EFTPOS terminals and handling cash (preferred)
- Confidence following two-way radio protocols
- Basic understanding of security procedures
- Physically capable of lifting and moving equipment if required
- Reliable, punctual and committed to teamwork
- Availability to work weekends and occasional public holidays
