Food Supply Coordinator

Food Supply • Morningside, Queensland 4170, Australia • Full-time

Description

About Us

We are Queensland’s largest hunger relief charity. Our vision is a Queensland without hunger. We believe that access to healthy food is a basic human right. Each week, we support 135,000 Queenslanders in crisis and provide breakfast to more than 53,000 children each school week. We work in collaboration with 350 Community Partners and nearly 500 Schools. Alongside food relief, we rescue surplus food that would otherwise go to waste, reducing landfill and protecting the environment. We’re also focused on long-term change, partnering with communities to build fairer, more resilient food systems.

  • Every $1 donated creates 2 meals.
  • We provide more than 150 meals every minute and over 10,000 meals every hour of operation.
  • Each year, we provide 12.7 million kilograms of food and groceries, which is the equivalent of 22 million meals and 1.1 million breakfasts.

About the Role

As a Food Supply Coordinator, you’ll play a key role in helping us deliver essential food to Queenslanders who need it most. Working onsite (6.30am to 2.30pm) at our Morningside office, you’ll support the smooth flow of food across our supply chain — from coordinating incoming donations to managing the administration that keeps our food moving to where it’s needed.

You’ll work closely with our Food Supply Manager and our Operations and Member Services teams to make sure donations, orders, and key information are organised, accurate, and acted on quickly. Your work directly supports our ability to provide millions of meals each year and helps ensure our partners, schools, and communities receive food on time, every time.

What You’ll Do

  • Manage admin tasks across the food supply function, including food donations, logistics and supply chain coordination
  • Support donor care activities, including preparing care plans, impact reports and general donor‑related administration
  • Process purchase orders in our ERP system, ensuring orders are placed, tracked and closed out accurately
  • Maintain accurate records in CRM (Salesforce) and ERP (Pronto), including reporting as needed
  • Respond to food supply enquiries and identify possible donation leads for the Food Supply Manager
  • Assist with the coordination of procurement programs and key staple purchasing activities (e.g., MPP, QPP, APP)
  • Help prepare budgets, forecasts, proposals, templates and other documents for food supply operations
  • Support projects and cross‑team initiatives, including marketing requests for photos or content related to food donors and supply

Who You Are

We’re looking for someone who:

  • Has experience working in logistics, warehousing, transport, or a similar environment
  • Is confident using Microsoft Office and has experience with CRM or ERP systems (or is comfortable learning them)
  • Brings strong administrative and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
  • Communicates clearly with a wide range of people — from donors to internal teams
  • Provides excellent customer service and builds positive working relationships
  • Enjoys problem solving and can work independently when needed
  • Is proactive, reliable, and motivated to support a purposed driven organisation

Why Join Us?
