Description

We’re looking for an experienced Buyer to join our team and help deliver a commercially strong, customer-focused product range. This role suits someone who is hands-on, highly commercial, and passionate about product development, supplier partnerships and delivering results.


About the Role You will play a key role in shaping and managing our furniture range, working closely with both local and international suppliers. This is a fast-paced role requiring strong commercial judgement, attention to detail, and the ability to balance creativity with performance.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage furniture product ranges aligned to customer needs and market trends
  • Analyse sales performance, stock levels and customer insights to inform range decisions
  • Build and maintain strong supplier relationships, both locally and internationally
  • Lead commercial negotiations including cost, quality and delivery terms
  • Support pricing strategies, promotional planning and product launches
  • Manage product lifecycle, inventory levels and range optimisation
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with planning, marketing and operations

 

About You

  • Proven experience in buying, sourcing or product development within furniture (or closely related categories)
  • Hands-on experience working directly with China-based factories/suppliers, understanding production processes, materials and on-the-ground ways of working
  • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to interpret data and trends
  • Confident negotiator with well-developed supplier management skills
  • Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
