About the role 

Reporting to the CEO, you will lead the People & Culture function across the organisation. This is a hands-on role balancing strategy and delivery — embedding consistent, compliant and practical workforce practices. 

You will lead the Staff & Operations Team Lead, Project Officer and Receptionist. 

Hybrid working across office, home and field as required. 

 

What you’ll be doing 

You will lead and deliver across: 

  • Workforce governance & compliance – Embed clear, audit-ready HR frameworks. 

  • Recruitment, onboarding & retention – Strengthen quality of hire and reduce regrettable turnover. 

  • Capability & performance – Support role clarity, leadership development and training compliance. 

  • Employee relations – Provide pragmatic advice across performance and conduct matters. 

  • Workforce planning & rostering governance – Partner with operational leaders to support sustainability. 

  • WHS & wellbeing – Lead prevention-focused WHS and return-to-work governance. 

 

About you 

You are a values-led HR professional who enjoys partnering with leaders to achieve practical outcomes. 

You bring: 

  • 5+ years’ HR/People & Culture experience (service-based or regulated environments preferred) 

  • Strong knowledge of Australian employment legislation and modern awards (SCHADS highly regarded) 

  • Experience across recruitment, ER, performance, onboarding and compliance 

  • Confidence with HR systems and reporting 

  • HR/IR/Business qualification (Diploma or Degree)
