The Role
We are seeking an experienced Accounts Receivable Officer to play a key role in managing the financial health of our organisation. Reporting to the Finance & Commercial Managers you will manage end-to-end accounts receivable processes, including invoicing, collections, reconciliations, ageing reports, cash forecasting, and credit insurance reporting.
This is a full-time role, working in the office between Monday to Friday, 8:30am–5:00pm with a shorter day on Fridays.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and monitor monthly ageing reports, financial summaries and weekly cash forecasts
- Reconcile ledgers and ensure correct recording of payments
- Manage credit applications, credit holds, and monthly credit insurance reporting with NCI
- Review aging reports and analyze trends to improve cash flow and reduce DSO
- Maintain accurate accounts receivable records, debtor ledgers, and customer statements
- Issue invoices and follow up on overdue accounts, resolving discrepancies professionally
- Provide excellent customer service and negotiate payment arrangements when needed
- Assist with month-end close, general accounting tasks, and process improvements
- Collaborate with internal teams to resolve billing or payment issues
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance AR efficiency and controls
- Consistently achieve accounts receivable KPIs through accurate invoicing, prompt collections, and effective customer communication
- Support office team administrative tasks, including filing, scanning, phone support, order processing, and cash reconciliation
Qualifications:
- Tertiary qualifications in Business, Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 5+ years’ experience in Accounts Receivable or similar role
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and end-to-end AR processes
- Experience with credit insurance, forecasting, reporting and reconciliations
- Food & Beverage industry experience highly regarded
- Proficient in accounting software SAP B1 and Advanced Microsoft Excel
- Excellent numerical, analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Able to work independently and collaboratively within a team
- Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in financial reporting.
