The Opportunity
This role focuses on:
- Managing and growing a predominantly commercial and rural portfolio
- Driving new business and referral growth
- Conducting strategic client reviews and risk assessments
- Building strong relationships with referral partners
- Contributing insights to regional strategy and growth initiatives
You will be supported by our Adviser Assistant and Processing Solutions Teams, allowing you to focus on advice, growth and client relationships.
Key Responsibilities
Portfolio Management:
- Manage and retain an existing portfolio of commercial and rural clients
- Identify and convert new business opportunities
- Conduct client reviews and risk strategy discussions
- Provide high-quality advice aligned to compliance standards
- Build strong referral relationships with key partners
Business Development:
- Actively develop and manage new business pipeline
- Leverage existing networks and build new referral sources
- Contribute to regional growth targets
- Maintain strong renewal retention rates
- Support broader business development initiatives
What We’re Looking For
Essential:
- Tier 1 Insurance Broking qualification
- Minimum 5+ years’ experience as a commercial insurance broker
- Demonstrated ability to win and grow new business
- Strong relationship-building and negotiation skills
- Excellent client service and communication abilities
Highly Desirable:
- Diploma of Insurance Broking
- Existing referral relationships
- Experience across commercial and/or rural portfolios
- Track record of consistent portfolio growth
- Experience working autonomously
