Outstation Overseer
Yougawalla Pastoral Company is an aggregation of cattle stations across the incredible Kimberley region. We are seeking a motivated and skilled Outstation Overseer to join the team at Yougawalla Station.
Reporting to our Bulka Station Managers you will work closely with the station crew but also independently, be a consistent self-starter who can work and live on a remote cattle station caring for the livestock, machinery and infrastructure. You will be required to have a sound knowledge of mechanics, an understanding or ability to learn all aspects of solar arrays and pumps, cattle knowledge and the ability to observe waters and supplement needs. This position is suited to a single, couple or family.
Yougawalla Station is a located 120kms from Bulka Station and 270kms from Fitzroy Crossing.
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Work in conjunction with the group managers to ensure adequate communication and information is kept.
• Constant checking and maintenance of water infrastructure: solar bores with predominantly Grundfos pumps, 2 Nastec systems installed recently.
• Fencing repairs
• Machinery operation if confident for fence and bore road clearing
• Servicing of generators, Kubota diesel, Honda petrol, Cummins house generator
• Potential handy man work, deck replacement, general house complex maintenance and improvements
• Ability to drive a truck to deliver livestock supplement out monthly
• If desired there is cattle work to be completed for 4 weeks in July every year
• Utilise and manage extra staff when needed to complete infrastructure, fencing or maintenance jobs

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA
• Chemical Certification handling accreditation
• Firearms licence (Class A and Class B)
• Motor vehicle licence (Class C)
DESIRABLE CRITERIA
• Sound knowledge of mechanics: Toyota servicing, loader servicing, generator servicing
• Sound knowledge or the ability to learn all aspects of solar arrays and Grundfos/Nastec pumps
• Basic cattle knowledge, ability to observe waters and supplement needs of livestock
• Truck and tractor licence (Class MR)
• Motorcycle licence (Class R)
• Current First Aid Certificate
