Exercise & Sports Science Australia (ESSA) is the nation’s leading voice on exercise and sports science. We govern and represent approximately 10,000 degree-qualified accredited exercise professionals who support Australians to reach their health and performance goals.

About your role
In this role, you will be responsible for supporting ESSA’s Events Manager in ensuring the delivery of ESSA’s annual events calendar, including Activate Conference, signature events, state chapter events, and advocacy and marketing events and activations, from conception to execution.
You will optimise the event delivery process and integrate the latest technological advancements to maintain a quality event experience.
Key responsibilities include:
- Support the Events Manager in developing ESSA’s annual events calendar.
- End-to-end coordination of events, including signature events, state chapter events, advocacy and marketing events and activations.
- Liaise with the Marketing & Communications Team to ensure accurate event marketing.
- Support the Events Manager in the delivery of the annual conference and strategy.
- Prepare reports on events led by you, including budget, satisfaction ratings and continuous improvement initiatives.
Your competitive edge will include
- Excellent organisational, administrative & communication skills
- Understanding of CPD frameworks, guidelines and needs
- A minimum of 3 years’ experience in events management
- Experience contributing to major events and logistics teams
- Tertiary qualifications in Event Management (desirable)
- Experience in iMIS and EventsAir (desirable)
