Student Systems Support Administrator

About the Role

Primary responsibilities include:

• Support Excelsia’s Learning Management System (LMS) by managing data and ensuring all system integrations operate effectively.

• Help staff and students use the LMS, including access, enrolments, and instructional resources.

• Assist with developing and publishing accurate timetables and handling resource bookings, keeping all information current and accessible.

• Provide training, guidance, and reporting to support smooth system and process operations.

Selection Criteria

Qualifications and Professional Standing:

• Possession of a relevant degree level qualification, or an equivalent combination of relevant experience/ training.

Essential:

• Committed Christian involved in a local congregation.

• Experience in systems administration.

• Experience in a higher education setting (or equivalent) would be an advantage.

• Ability to use Learning Management Systems, Student Management Systems, timetable and room-booking tools, and academic integrity platforms (e.g., Turnitin), or the ability to learn these systems quickly.

• Experience with data entry, managing workflows, setting up user accounts, and maintaining accurate and confidential system information.

• Ability to troubleshoot basic user issues and refer more complex matters to vendor support or senior staff when needed.

• An understanding of current and emerging trends in higher education.

• Technological literacy across a range of desktop applications and digital tools to support everyday administrative, reporting, and analysis tasks.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain information clearly to staff and students.

• Proven organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and meet deadlines.
