About the Role

The role of Recruitment Manager provides end to end recruitment of permanent and fixed-term role vacancies, academic and professional staff. Primary responsibilities include:

  • Recruit talent for Excelsia’s role vacancies to fulfill the staffing needs of Excelsia’s strategic objectives and programs.
  • Research, map, and source key personnel in Excelsia’s broad fields of study to build talent pipelines for academic roles.
  • Leverage platforms and tools such as LinkedIn to solicit applications from quality candidates for Excelsia’s roles vacancies.
  • Nurture relationships with recruitment agencies, to access support for “hard-to-fill” roles and temporary assignments.
  • Promote Excelsia’s Employment Value Proposition (EVP) with prospective candidates.
  • Review Excelsia’s Pay Scale, annually, to recommend strategic and evidence-based adjustments to gradings and salaries.
  • Influence strategic cost per hire outcomes that benefit Excelsia and support recruitment budgeting.
  • Contribute to developing effective and innovative recruitment, retention, and attraction strategies across Excelsia.
  • Ensure pre-employment documentation is managed with quality, accuracy, and within set timelines.

Selection Criteria

Essential:

  • Committed Christian involved in local congregation.
  • Full Australian Working Rights.

Qualifications and Professional Standing:

  • Degree level qualification/s in HR or related discipline, or possession of equivalent professional experience.
  • Experience (3+ years) working in a Talent Acquisition and/or Human Resources role or equivalent.
  • Experience in a higher education setting (or equivalent) would be an advantage.
  • Demonstrated experience and understanding of full cycle recruitment process and onboarding administration.
  • Excellent rapport building skills and strong experience in recruiting.
  • Self-motivated individual, who can work autonomously, be hard-working and who thrives on achieving results.
  • Effective time management and organisational skills, proven ability manage numerous projects often under tight deadlines.
  • Competent PC skills, including Excel, Word and PowerPoint and an understanding of Applicant Tracking Systems.
  • High level of professionalism, including privacy and confidentiality, with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, and confidence in working with stakeholders of all levels.
