About the Role
Primary responsibilities include:
• Developing and delivering Excelsia University College’s verbal identity and brand messaging.
• Creating and implementing annual content plans to engage key audiences across digital and print platforms.
• Leading the production of publications such as the Course Guide, brochures, and other promotional materials.
• Writing, editing, and curating content for internal and external communications, including media and social channels.
• Providing communication support for alumni engagement, internal initiatives, and marketing campaigns.
Selection Criteria
Qualifications and Professional Standing:
Tertiary or Post-secondary qualification in Journalism, Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, or related field, with 2-5 years working experience in similar role/s.
Essential:
• Committed Christian involved in a local congregation.
• Demonstrated editorial experience, copywriting and sub-editing skills, with a strong news sense, or storytelling ability.
• A working knowledge of, or practical experience, in a higher education setting, or in complex organisations, is an advantage.
• An ability to distil complexity into accessible messaging for different audiences.
• Experience using CMS and CRMs (desirable).
• Knowledge and experience in strategic communications, content development and contemporary marketing principles and practices.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to think creatively and strategically to create resonant, integrated content to facilitate storytelling.
• Proven ability to build effective working relationships and contribute collaboratively to team and organisational goals.
• Demonstrated capacity to work independently with initiative and accountability.
• Proven project management skills with the ability to manage complex tasks, challenging projects and competing deadlines.
• Acute attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
