About the Role
Primary responsibilities include:
• Lead the Accounts Payable function, ensuring timely and accurate processing.
• Maintain and reconcile supplier and ledger records with precision.
• Mentor and support the offshore Accounts Payable Officer.
• Ensure compliance with legislation, regulations, and internal policies.
• Support month-end, year-end reporting, and internal audits.
Selection Criteria
Qualifications and Professional Standing:
• Possession of a relevant degree level qualification, or an equivalent combination of relevant experience/ training.
Essential:
• Committed Christian involved in a local congregation.
• Experience (3+ years) working in an Accounts Payable role or equivalent.
• Demonstrated experience in staff management.
• Experience in a higher education setting (or equivalent) would be an advantage.
• Proven proficiency in the organisation and administration of accounts payable.
• Demonstrated ability to apply finance specialist knowledge and skill guided by organisational policies and procedures.
• An understanding of current and emerging trends in legislation and best practice in administrating accounts payable.
• Technological literacy in a wide range of desktop applications to support reporting and analysis role requirements.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills, and confidence in presentations.
• Proven organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and meet deadlines.
• Full Australian Working Rights.
