About the Role
Reporting to the Academic Administration Manager, primary responsibilities are to:
- Provide the academic staff with administrative support
- Coordinate administrative projects to ensure the smooth operation of the Schools
- Provide exceptional customer service to staff and students as the first point of contact for the
Schools
- Maintain and update course and student information in Excelsia’s learning management system (Moodle)
- Support casual academic staffing allocations for the Schools for each study period
- Compile student academic information and submit reports for academic processes
- Provide secretarial services to various committees including document preparation and minute taking
- Serve as a team player and share best practice across student experience, system upkeep,
organisation, and planning
Selection Criteria
Qualifications and Professional Standing:
- Hold a post-secondary qualification
- Working experience, 2+ years in an administration role
- Working experience in a customer service role
Essential:
- Committed Christian, involved in a local congregation
- Experience in business administration and/customer service
- Proven organisational skills with the ability to multi-task, prioritise, and meet deadlines
- Must have acute attention to detail and high level of accuracy
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Must be able to work independently
- Must uphold ethical integrity while performing duties of a sensitive nature including calculating
student grades, and maintaining confidentiality of personal details
- Familiarity with Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook
- Experience with a learning management system, particularly Moodle is strongly preferred
- Demonstrated excellent interpersonal skills, ability to work appropriately with students,
faculty, and administrators, independently as well as in a busy team environment
- A commitment to lifelong learning
- Knowledge of and ability to apply equal opportunity principles and work health and safety
