We’re now looking for a hands-on Team Leader to support our Water Treatment Products operations and lead a high-performing team on the production floor.
This is a three-week rotation shift (6:00 AM – 2:30 PM, 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM and 10:00 PM – 6:30 AM), penalty rates apply for all hours worked between 6:00 PM – 6:00 AM)
About the Role
Reporting to the Production Manager, this role is responsible for leading day-to-day operations across the Water Treatment Products area, ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality production outcomes.
This is a working team leader role, where you’ll balance operational delivery with team leadership, coaching, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate a team of operators to meet daily production targets
- Ensure compliance with all safety policies, procedures, and legislative requirements
- Monitor workflow, troubleshoot issues, and minimise downtime
- Support quality assurance processes to ensure product standards are met
- Provide on-the-job training, coaching, and support to team members
- Drive accountability for attendance, performance, and behaviours
- Collaborate with maintenance, logistics, and leadership teams to optimise output
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across production processes
- Ensure adherence to the Enterprise Agreement (EA), including classifications and conditions
About You
- Demonstrated experience in a Team Leader or Leading Hand role within manufacturing or production
- Experience in plastics, water treatment, or similar industrial environments (highly regarded)
- Strong understanding of workplace health and safety practices
- Proven ability to lead teams in fast-paced, operational environments
- Sound problem-solving and decision-making capability
- Ability to manage competing priorities and maintain production flow
- Strong communication skills and ability to influence team behaviours
- Understanding of Enterprise Agreement environments (desirable)
