About the Role

Everhard Industries are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Financial Accountant to support financial reporting, compliance, and process improvement initiatives across the Group. Reporting to the Financial Controller, this role is responsible for ensuring accurate financial reporting, maintaining strong governance practices, and supporting day-to-day finance operations.

What you’ll be doing

Financial Accounting

  • Prepare monthly financial accounts, management reports, reconciliations, journals and maintain the integrity of the general ledger across multiple entities.
  • Manage costing activities including standard cost roll ups, landed costs absorption costing, and inventory reconciliations.
  • Prepare statutory financial statements, consolidated group reporting, deferred tax calculations, AASB16 schedules, and support external audit requirements.
  • Monitor cash flow forecasting, fixed assets, foreign currency transactions, and identify opportunities for process and system improvements.

Payroll & Compliance

  • Oversee payroll-related compliance activities, ensuring superannuation, taxation, and statutory obligations are met accurately and on time.
  • Maintain accurate leave provisions and payroll-related reconciliations within the general ledger.

Taxation

  • Prepare BAS, FBT, and other ATO compliance requirements within required deadlines.
  • Assist with payroll tax reconciliations, corporate income tax calculations, and taxation reporting requirements.

General

  • Maintain accurate financial records, filing systems, and up-to-date Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Provide support across ad hoc finance and administrative activities as required.

What you’ll bring

  • CA, CIMA or CPA qualified, with demonstrated post-qualification experience in a Financial Accounting role and strong technical accounting capability across financial reporting, statutory accounts, BAS, FBT, reconciliations, and taxation compliance requirements.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy, with the ability to analyse and interpret financial data, identify trends and root causes, and apply a commercial understanding of the business to support decision making.
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, with the ability to build effective working relationships and confidently present and discuss financial information with a broad range of stakeholders.
  • Netsuite experience and advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel
  • Proven ability to manage competing priorities, work effectively under pressure, meet deadlines, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
