With a strong and growing pipeline of complex joinery projects, we are seeking an experienced Senior Microvellum Drafter to play a key role in our internal delivery capability.
About the Role
This is a technical drafting role where quality, speed, and constructability matter. Everything we build starts in drafting. You will be responsible for producing accurate, build‑ready Microvellum documentation that drives efficiency across production, CNC, assembly and installation.
You will work closely with project managers, factory leadership and installers, acting as a technical authority within the drafting function. This is a permanent, office‑based role at our Virginia facility.
What Your Day looks like?
- Produce high‑quality Microvellum shop drawings for complex commercial joinery & furniture
- Develop fully resolved, build‑ready documentation for CNC machining and factory production
- Apply strong knowledge of: Commercial joinery construction methods + hardware specifications and fixing systems + tolerancing, clearances and site constraints
- Coordinate with project managers to resolve technical challenges before manufacture
- Interpret architectural documentation, consultant drawings and site information
- Support value engineering and efficiency improvements through smart detailing
- Maintain drawing accuracy through design changes and site variations
- Contribute to drafting standards, workflows and continuous improvement initiatives
What You Bring
- Advanced Microvellum experience (commercial joinery environment essential)
- Trade‑qualified cabinet maker or strong hands‑on joinery background (highly regarded)
- Deep understanding of joinery manufacturing processes and CNC outputs
- Proven ability to work independently on complex projects
- Strong problem‑solving skills and practical construction mindset
- High attention to detail and commitment to accurate, first‑time‑right documentation
- Clear communicator who can collaborate across drafting, production and project teams
- Legal right to work in Australia
