About
the role
Reporting
to our AFLW Football Analyst, you will have the opportunity to learn the core
skills of football analytics. The role involves:
- Adopting industry standard processes for
capturing and stacking football vision
- Developing a working comprehension of
notational analysis using HUDL Sportscode (including Codewindow creation
and data capture)
- Hands-on experience with first and third-party
data sources, such as Champion Data
- Practical delivery of feedback to stakeholders
The
tasks completed in this internship are in line with the “Exercise Science
Standards” component of the ESSA Exercise Science Practicum requirements.

- Days Per Week: Approx 1-2 days
- Hours Per Day: 3 to 5 hours (approx.
120-140 hours across the season)
- Work Location: The Hangar, Melbourne Airport
(No remote capabilities)
About
you
Currently
studying an Exercise Science, Sport Science, Data Science (or related degree),
in their second year or later, with a university placement requirement,
you will be passionate about sport and want to be involved within an elite
sporting club. You’ll have a genuine commitment to personal growth and
development, with a strong desire to learn and succeed in a team environment.
You’ll be a self-starter who has excellent organisational skills and a passion
for performance analysis and/or data analytics.
