Salary: £35,000
Location: North West area of the UK, ideally located anywhere along the M62 route
Hours: Monday – Friday, 37.5 hours per week

Job Summary
This role involves leading the assessment, treatment, and prevention of mould and condensation issues within domestic properties. The postholder will carry out property surveys, recommend appropriate ventilation solutions, and complete mould remediation and redecoration works to a high standard. The position supports the company’s commitment to improving indoor air quality and preventing recurrence through a combination of practical remediation and technical expertise.

Key Responsibilities
Mould Treatment & Remediation
• Visit domestic properties (social housing and private) to assess, remove, and treat mould contamination.
• Prepare work areas before treatment, including protection of furniture, flooring, and tenant belongings.
• Isolate affected areas where required to prevent cross-contamination.
• Use approved biocidal and fungicidal products in accordance with COSHH and company procedures.
• Apply mould wash, stabilisers, and sealants using approved application methods.
• Prepare treated surfaces to a good decorative standard, including light surface repair, filling, sanding, and making good walls and ceilings.
• Complete redecoration of treated areas once preparation and treatment works are finished, ensuring a professional and high-quality final appearance.
• All works should be completed to company standards, leaving the treated areas clean, tidy, and visually restored.
• Ensure correct disposal of waste materials in line with environmental and hazardous waste regulations.
Surveying & Assessment
• Carry out detailed surveys for the installation of ventilation systems (eg, extractor fans, PIV, MEV, MVHR).
• Identify and record causes of condensation, damp, or poor air movement (eg, leaks, cold bridging, insufficient ventilation).
• Accurately record findings through written reports, photographic evidence, and digital survey tools.
• Recommend appropriate ventilation or remediation solutions in line with company specifications and Building Regulations (Approved Document F).
• Support accurate quoting, planning, and installation through clear, detailed survey data.
Leadership & Development
• Act as a point of contact for technical support on mould and ventilation survey work.
• Assist in the mentoring, training, and quality-checking of new or less experienced operatives.
• Promote safe systems of work, adherence to company policies, and high workmanship standards within the team.
• Contribute to continuous improvement by providing feedback on processes, materials, and customer experience.
Customer Care & Communication
• Engage respectfully with residents and explain works clearly.
• Provide practical advice to occupants on managing condensation and maintaining healthy indoor environments.
• Report safeguarding or welfare concerns following company policy.
Compliance & Documentation
• Complete all required paperwork, risk assessments, and treatment records accurately and on time.
• Follow company health, safety, and environmental policies, including RAMS and PPE requirements.
• Maintain equipment and materials to the required standard.
• Ensure vehicles are clean, presentable, and stocked appropriately.
