About the Role
We’re looking for a Level 2 Service Desk Engineer to join our technical team at eNerds. This role focuses on resolving Level 2 technical issues across desktop, Microsoft 365, networking, server, and cloud environments. It’s ideal for someone building their technical depth while confidently supporting end users and managing escalations in a remote MSP environment.
You’ll support clients via phone, email, and remote tools, diagnosing and resolving issues while delivering a professional and reliable support experience.
What You’ll Do
- Provide Level 2 support across desktops, laptops, Microsoft 365, networking, and server environments
- Troubleshoot incidents, identify root causes, and resolve technical issues
- Assist with workstation builds, hardware diagnostics, and replacements
- Handle escalations and deliver remote support to clients
- Attend onsite visits when required
- Support infrastructure upgrades and implementation activities
What You Need
Must‑have:
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in IT support or engineering
- Strong experience supporting Windows desktop operating systems and Microsoft Office
- Proven ability to troubleshoot from hardware level up, including workstations, network devices, and storage
- Solid knowledge of the Microsoft stack, including Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and DFS
- Experience with endpoint security solutions such as Webroot, Sophos, or Microsoft Defender
- Confident administration and support of Microsoft 365
- Good understanding of networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, VPNs, routing, DNS, Wi‑Fi, and switching
Nice to have:
- Previous experience in a Service Desk or MSP environment
- TAFE networking or related IT qualifications
- Exposure to virtualisation technologies (Hyper‑V, VMware)
- Knowledge of backup and recovery solutions (e.g. ShadowProtect, Veeam)
- Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, Google Workspace, or Dropbox
