Job Overview:

We are looking for a Warehouse Manager on a full-time basis. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, proactive, organised, adaptable, and possess strong communication skills. The Warehouse Manager oversees all aspects of warehouse operations for our furniture business. This role is crucial in ensuring the efficient receipt, storage, and dispatch of a wide range of furniture products. The Warehouse Manager will be responsible for maintaining inventory accuracy, supervising warehouse staff, and ensuring a safe and organized warehouse environment.

Responsibilities:

Operational Support:

Plan, coordinate, and oversee all warehouse operations to ensure efficient receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods.

 Oversee the maintenance and organisation of the warehouse.

 Supervision and training of all warehouse staff in their roles in line with safe operating procedures.

 Identify opportunities to streamline processes, improve efficiency, and enhance the overall effectiveness of the warehouse operation through innovation and

best practices.

 Ensuring all inbound, replenishment, outbound processes are completed effectively within agreed targets.

 Assist in decanting containers ensuring that planning, put away, pick pack consign process are conducted in a timely manner.

 Work closely with the logistics team, delivery teams, and freight partners to ensure accurate and timely dispatch of orders.

Inventory Management:

 Monitor inventory levels and conduct regular stock audits.

 Ensure accurate inventory records are maintained.

 Implement and maintain effective inventory control systems.

 Complete quality control checks on incoming stock, returns, and replacements.

Staff Supervision:

 Supervise warehouse staff, providing guidance and training as needed.

 Scheduling and assigning tasks to warehouse personnel.

 Foster a positive and productive work environment.

Safety and Compliance:

 Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and standards to ensure safe and efficient operations.

 Conduct regular safety audits and implement corrective actions as needed.

 Conduct general warehouse duties, including housekeeping

Process Improvement:

 Identify and implement process improvements to enhance warehouse efficiency.

 Develop, review and refine standard operating procedures.

 Address any logistical challenges or disruptions that occur, such as delays, damages, or shortages, by identifying solutions and implementing prompt corrective actions.

Customer Service:

 Ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment.

 Address and resolve any issues related to warehouse operations.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Warehouse Supervisor or management role, preferably in the furniture industry

• Maintain high standards of health, safety, and security, ensuring compliance with legislation and policies

• Current Driver’s license

• Forklift licence & high reach forklift experience is required.

• Ability to lift and move heavy furniture items as required.

• Previous experience with container unloading/loading

• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

• Ability to multitask and prioritise tasks in a fast-paced environment.

• Professional demeanour and ability to interact effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
